Hand Challenge: one player has a qualifying hand and may challenge.

1. The player with the hand may declare Hand Challenge.
2. The challenged player may reroll as many dice as they want once.
3. The challenged player tries to make, match, or beat the challenger’s hand.
4. The player with the hand may choose Elimination instead; if so, the condition card applies.

Hand Duel: both players have qualifying hands and must play the Hand Route.

1. Both players may reroll as many dice as they want once.
2. Both final qualifying hands score their fixed hand values.
3. No cancellation occurs in the Hand Route.
4. The condition card is ignored for this round.

Elimination Route: no Hand Route is played.

1. Players select dice for reroll according to the current round rules and active condition.
2. Reroll selected dice once.
3. Resolve any applicable special reroll/cancellation condition.
4. Default cancellation is 1-for-1 unless the condition card changes that rule.
5. Apply condition scoring changes and record the round score.
